Artist Statement
The photographs from the series Trees unfold in a field of tension between alienation and familiarity, irritation and recognition. The tree corresponds to its natural state down to the smallest detail, but the floating position above the viewer's head leads to irritations in visual perception. There is hardly anything more wonderful and beautiful than a tree. It is time to marvel again.
