This piece is part of an investigation into textures of nature. I have been photographing the series 'Textures' for over two years now, and this topic just keeps triggering my imagination and creativity. This picture was taken on Dartmoor National Park, in England, during the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2020. After being locked home for over two months, this hike was my first time outside, and the color of the grass, smells and surrounding sounds felt even more intense than ever, this picture is not only the beauty and texture of the grass, but the grass I can walk on after being inside for so long, the grass that signifies the freedom of being alive.

At the end of my masters in architecture I started taking pictures and completely fell in love with photography. I only decided to follow this path after having the first picture I ever sold published in one of the most important architecture books in Brazil (OCA: Arquitetura no Brasil). I have been working with architects and galleries ever since, trying to create windows on walls and bring people closer to nature.
