Artist Statement
This is part of my 2020 “Impression” series. I have an rare opportunity to travel in this lock-down period, and I am recording each place I have visited during this period.
Wuzhen is a beautiful town in Southern China, full of history and art, also the hometown of Muxin, a famous Chinese artist.

June created the concept of Spiritrait - a unique type of portrait that captures an object’s spirit using abstract painting techniques. The object can be a person, animal, or even a non-living thing as long as it possesses energy that can be recorded using shapes and colors.
