Scott Moroschan, born just outside of Detroit in 1966, never went to art school but has managed to forge a career as a creative perfumer in Europe, creating fragrances for businesses and people worldwide for nearly twenty-five years.
Fuelled by an inner calling to express his creativity beyond the invisible medium of perfumery, Scott also explores the simple visual aesthetic truths of lines, flat colors, geometric shapes, typography, and modern-day urban materials and textures.
His creative visual style is an eclectic mix of Minimalism, Concretism, Hard-edge, Opt art, Swiss design, and the Graffiti and Street art of his adopted home town Hamburg, Germany.
He considers Donald Judd, Sol LeWitt, Lygia Clark, Bridget Riley, Victor Vasarely, Max Bill, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichenstein, and Jean-Michel Basquiat to be his most obvious influencers and teachers.
Merging his traditional low-fi art and creative digital skills, he creates transparent collages of the imperfections of the real world with the illusions of perfection of the virtual world.
In his perfumery and visual artwork, and through his charitable contributions, Scott gives his best to make the world a more beautiful, enjoyable, and better place to live.
