Akira Tokumaru

Akira Tokumaru is an artist based in Japan. He has been working on realistic paintings and semi-abstract paintings both in oils and watercolors. His inspiration for his work comes from natural scenes and people close to him. He finds the beauty from there and creates the works. He has been pursuing a new style of realism mainly in portraits.

Tokumaru has recommended for a regular member of Hakujitsukai which is known as a Japanese art organization specialized in realism. He has been accepted 7 times for The Japan Fine Arts Exhibition and has held solo exhibition 25 times in Japan, such as at Gallery doux (Tokyo) and at Miyazaki Airport Gallery.
