Alanah Jarvis, an Australian water artist, has gained global recognition for her exquisite oceanscapes and rainscapes. Her oil paintings have been commended for their ability to capture the essence of rolling movements and the interplay of light on the surface, evoking a spiritual and abstract reality. As a former Scuba Instructor, Alanah strives to impart a sense of tranquillity and serenity that emanates from being in, on, under, or near water.
A donation from every sale will go towards the ‘Swim it Forward’ foundation to help fund swimming lessons for Aussie kids from low income families. Evidence of this will be sent with the Certificate of Authenticity.
What inspires you?
I'm inspired by the great outdoors, particularly the water, whether it be in, on, under on next to the water, it brings a sense of calmness and clarity.
Describe your creative process.
The process is very intuitive, I try to stick to a reference photo, although get lost in the process and find the painting somewhere between realism and abstraction at the end.

Calming, thought provoking, inspiring
What is the most important tool when creating your work?
The music in my headphones!
