Alessio Monti was born in Italy in 1978, he studied at the Milan Conservatory where he learned to play the trumpet. He spends his summers in Sicily where he learns to model terracotta and becomes passionate about this ancient art.
He begins to work in an artisan upholsterer's workshop and in 2004 he opens his own laboratory.
This profession introduces him to the world of design, also helped by the proximity to the famous design district of Brianza, known all over the world for the production of exclusive furnishings.
Alessio has worked for numerous projects directed by famous architects and has moved everywhere.
This particular furniture collection is based on unique pieces made of synthetic plaster that lends itself to being shaped just like ceramic. after creating an object Alessio breaks the mold precisely to give the creation uniqueness.
Passion and experimentation are the guiding words of his work. He does not define himself as an artist but as a craftsman
