Baik Soon Shil is gifted with the ability to articulate visual imageries from music. For each of her artwork, she would listen to a certain classical music piece repeatedly, from which she derives her abstract compositions. She would then create these images using lithography or serigraphy techniques, usually featuring layers of vibrant colors with detailed lines and textures. Baik Soon Shil is recognized as one of the top master-printmaker in Seoul.
Apart from printmaking, Baik Soon Shil also paints with the acrylic and oil medium to compose inspirations that she derives from the Korean tea culture, which is another of her long-time passion.
Exhibited all over the world including Seoul, Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Slovenia, Hungary, Baik Soon Shil’s works are also collected by museums and prominent collectors.
