Beata Podwysocka

Hometown: Olsztyn

Based in: Olsztyn, Poland

Beata Podwysocka (AFRP, AFIAP) comes from Olsztyn, Poland. She is a self-taugh artist.

In 2014 she obtained the title of the Artist of the Photoclub of the Republic of Poland (AFRP), and in 2015 the prestigious title of Artiste Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique (AFIAP).

She has been always attracted to abstractionism, minimalism and surrealism. The world she shows through the lens lies at the intersection of photography and fine arts. Her images often refer to the poetry of the ordinary. She explores the surroundings in search of everyday landscapes in order to extract colors, shapes, textures and patterns. Thanks to this, seemingly dull and unattractive images acquire the status of intriguing, independent artistic entities.

Since 2010, the artist has been successfully taking an active part in photo competitions, both nationally and internationally. Until now, her works have been presented at four individual exhibitions, numerous group and post-competition shows both in Poland and abroad.

The artist's photographs are in private collections in Poland, Great Britain, France, Denmark and the United States.
