More About Carlos Bruscianelli
What inspires you?
I was inspired by the great masters of realistic painting, artists such as Ingres, Bouguereau, Breton, Regnault as well as the contemporary realistic painting style.
Describe your creative process.
Almost all my works are oil paintings, I use the traditional techniques of drawing and painting in the realization of my work. It is a slow process where I look for the precision in each stroke.
What are 3 words that best describe your work?
Effort, technique, precision.
Who are some artists that have influenced your work?
I have mentioned it before, The work of Pedro Campos, Hugo Laurencena, Luis Royo, H.R. Giger or Frazeta are artists that inspired me at some point in my career.
What is the most important tool when creating your work?
The imagination. All my Artworks are made of elements that I have within my reach, nothing special.
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
Insist! do not give up. The art world is extremely complex and competitive, many times it is difficult to have a stable career, it is something that takes time, it can be frustrating. Being an artist is a way of life.
Where do you go for inspiration?
... maybe I'm going to bed! On many occasions some ideas occur to me before going to sleep, it is the moment where the brain reorganizes the ideas, it seems that it happens to many people, I am not the exception.
