Chongpaiboon works predominantly with dots to construct a series of contemporary faces with reference to ritualistic Buddhist Mandala circle and meditative state of mind. He discusses the beauty of women with a glimpse of retro fashion with the vibrant colour palette and simple composition.
For Chongpaiboon, each dot represents an alphabet. The continuous stream of dots forming circles represents the forming of words. Several rings of circles put together in one place represent the forming of a story. The idea of a circle also refers to a deeper meaning to the artist. As a Buddhist, Chongpaiboon believes in the notion of a “Wheel of Dhamma” which represents completeness, peace, and eternity.
Chongpaiboon commands the mastery of the pointillism technique which is done freehand without any technological assistance.
