Lives and works in the city of Tijuana.
In 2006, She obtain her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at the Autonomous University of Baja California, School of Arts. In 2013 she presented his first solo exhibition "TELLURIC TRACES" at 206 Arte Contemporáneo, Tijuana B.C. He has been part of various group exhibitions including, "Cinco espacios en el quinto" with the KRSTO gallery, MIA Co Growing, Mexico City (2019); SALON ACME Guest State Baja California curated by Periférica, Mexico City (2018); "LA / Landscapes: Real and Imagined", Studio Channel Islands, Camarillo, CA (2017); TAPETES 20, Colectivo Martes, Centro Cultural Tijuana CECUT (2017)); "Natural Systems", Atheneum Art Center, San Diego, CA (2017); "Alguna vez volveremos a ser la punta en la monraña", EL Cuarto de Luz, Tijuana, B.C. More About Fernanda Uski
What inspires you?
The axis of my work revolves around the landscape and our perception of nature. From this open process emerge themes such as Ecology, the synthetic, and the way we reshape nature in a utilitarian and/or aesthetic sense.
Describe your creative process.
Through color, textures. forms, iridescence and translucency, I compose images with the idea of a transformed nature. I am interested in dissipating or showing the limits between the artificial and the natural, playing with the interrelation of the concept and the materiality of the work.
