Contemporary artist born and raised in Santa Marta, it is a coastal city in the Colombian Caribbean which is privileged by stunning beaches, mountains and natural landscapes that have inspired him to become an artist.
Fernando draws since he was very young. Many years of his artistic career for a living he worked as an Art Director in the Advertising and Editorial industry. Now he feel grateful and blessed to be a full time artist.
His creation process is experimental and intuitive. Fernando Jaramillo composes abstract urban landscapes in colorful organic structures by mixing graphic design lenguaje and the expressive vitality of painting in rhythmic color combinations that generate rich visual sensations in the viewer.
Education
He has studies in Fine Arts, Design and Photography. Currently live and work in Bogota.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by nature, the sea, the sunsets and urban landscapes. It also inspires me to see the work of other artists.
Describe your creative process.
My work is based on the contemplation, experimentation and imagination that I let flow to build intricate universes of organic structures.

The Early Christian and Byzantine Art, Flemish Masters, Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, Kandinsky, Miró, Fra Angélico, Obregón, etc.
