Georgia Bisley is an early career textile artist creating bold, large-scale hangings primarily of remnant wool and linen. Bisley is strongly influenced by non-western art, using colour, pattern and texture to explore elements of modern-day society - from the delightful to the unsettling and absurd. Bisley is particularly interested in themes related to identity and commerce. Bisley was a finalist in the 2021 Wangaratta Contemporary Textile Award and her first exhibition Hyper Real sold out at KolbuszSpace in Perth, Western Australia.
