HANS LENNART ANDERSSON. Born in 1956 in Sweden. Ceramics, painting, sculpture, photo, digital art, more or less self-taught artist my grandmother, insisted on creating in both ceramics and painting. Started early with ceramics, 1968-69, picture-creating yet earlier, 1977-79. Theater, ceramics, painting course at the Östergrevie folk high school in 1981. I went one year at Skåne Painting School, living in Copenhagen since 1984. In 1985, I started building a house, ready to move in 1997. I moved into my self-built house of recycled stone, decorated floor tiles in ceramics, wall reliefs, carved doors. When I built, I lived in different places on factory premises.
In 1993, I moved over my ceramic workshop from my parents' home in Sweden to Amager, Denmark, where I built my first large oven for sculpture, tableware, and in 97 I moved my workshop once again. This time to where my house is located, I built a big oven, which I made sculptures, and made dinnerware for Japanese restaurant sticks and sushi.
In 2002, I got banned by the state to have my workshop there then I was once again forced to demolish and move the workshop, this time to Simrishamn in Sweden where I worked mostly with small sculptures and built a movable large oven, and in 2014 I moved my workshop once more to a cow stall, in Helsingör Denmark, created some great sculptures. So finally, in 2016, I had to take over my neighbour's self-built house, where I built a permanent giant oven of 1350 litres, and here I have created lots of sculptures and large decorated vases and in my own house where I paint pictures, never give up your dream. HLA
Making art. It's like opening doors and see what to find there, if I cant find something interesting, there is always another door that opens, you know there is something on the other side of it. Whether it's fiction or reality, the most interesting I try to push, whatever comes you've done your work. It doesn't belong to you, you can't control it, the work has to fight for itself.
What inspires you?
nature and animals have inspired me a lot over the years.after going to the amazonas to drink Ayahuasca for 14 days was a great game changer
