J. Park was born in 1966 in Daegu, South Korea. He has a BFA in Painting from Keimyung University, Daegu, and attended Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, Paris.
He has had numerous solo exhibitions throughout Korea and in Tokyo, Fukuoka and Paris. He has also participated in group exhibitions in Moscow, Paris, Los Angeles, and major Korean and Japanese cities. In 2004 he won the Ha Jungwoong Young Artists Award from the Gwangju Museum.
