Januri was born in farmer family environment in Sadang Village, Jatirogo, Tuban Regency, East Java. Being different to other children in his age in this village, little Januri since his elementary school looks prominent in his fine arts. In his junior high school, his fine art teacher observed his talent. Considering such potential the teacher advised januri to continue his senior high school in Yogyakarta because there is special school for fine arts there. Since 1992, Januri left his village to study fine arts in Fine Arts Senior High School in Yogyakarta. Since then, Januri started to know about principle of moder fine arts. He identified lots of techniques, and which then he choose to wrestle with decorative technique.
