Jessi Wong was born in Australia to Chinese/Malaysian parents. She completed a Master of Fine Art (Printmaking) at RMIT in 2009 and primarily considers herself a printmaker who also does drawings and installations. Jessi has worked on collaborative public art projects in Melbourne and has works in private and public collections around the world.

What inspires you?
The natural landscape, patterns found in nature, the sky at night.

Time consuming

Layered, ordered, chaotic

Yayoi Kusama, Professor Brian Cox (who is actually an astrophysicist), Ruth Johnstone, Jenny Holzer, Guerrilla Girls, Helen Kocis Edwards, et. al.
What is the most important tool when creating your work?
My ink roller!
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
Add more magnesium carbonate.
Where do you go for inspiration?
I visit exhibitions and galleries, go for walks, watch documentary films.
