Jiří Pačinek is a renowned Czech glass artist, born in the village of Kunratice near Cvikov, a region celebrated for its rich glassmaking tradition. He honed his craft in local glass schools, mastering traditional techniques and exploring innovative forms of expression. In 2007, he founded Pačinek Glass in Lindava, and in 2015, he established his own glassworks in Kunratice, attracting enthusiasts from around the world. His work often explores themes of nature, emotions, and the interplay of color and form, resulting in unique sculptures that push the boundaries of traditional glassblowing.

In 2020, Pačinek introduced the Crystal Cathedral project, located in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Kunratice, uniquely combining glass art with sacred architecture. Building upon this legacy, from November 29, 2024, to February 2, 2025, he presents the “Crystal Garden” exhibition at the Prague Botanical Garden. This exhibition features monumental glass installations inspired by the plant and animal kingdoms, brought to life through a magical blend of light and music. Visitors can admire these fantastic creations both during the day, as they shimmer in sunlight, and in the evening, when they are illuminated to create a mesmerizing fusion of art and nature.

The “Crystal Garden” exhibition beautifully merges two artistic realms in a harmonious symbiosis – Jiří Pačinek’s glass installations, glowing with light, accompanied by music from Petr Špatina. This harmonious blend of light, sound, and glass will capture your imagination and transport you to a world where the boundaries between these art forms dissolve, creating an unforgettable experience.
