Artist, graphic designer, self-taught engraver, born in the Vendée in 1950.
Arrived in Paris in 1968 where he has lived ever since.
It was at this time that an administrative competition destined for a career
But he is quickly attracted by the world of image.
He took evening classes at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré
in Paris. He assiduously frequents museums, galleries and libraries in the capital.
He is strongly influenced by the Bauhaus.

in his life, Joël discovers aquagravure. With his long experience in the applied arts, he is now totally involved in the world of contemporary art.

First exhibition of watercolours at the G.M.Arts gallery in Paris.
2006
Creates Aquastamp Paris, an art print shop in aquagravures.
He engraves and prints his own works as well as those of Guillaume Corneille, until the latter's death in 2010, as well as Errò, Peter Klasen, Juan Ripolles, Antonio Ségui, Tony Soulié. He also prints other multiples for Stephan Balkenhol, Bram Bogart, Robert Combas, Raymond Waydelich....
2012
He exhibits his paintings for the first time at the Réalités Nouvelles exhibition in Paris.

The rigour of the forms, the poetry of the colours.
Describe your creative process.
I first work on my images in flat shapes and colours and then translate them into relief or not.
