„As color research translated into painting, the artist understands this and other of her works, which are characterized by the approach of finding the concrete out of the abstraction to the concrete of the color. In this, she has developed a mastery, which is increased by the fact that she creates deep spatial effects from the combination of materials and their specific application on the painting surface“. Writes Dr. Konrad Scheurmann in his book, Dialogue Color - Contributions from Science, Art and Society by André Karliczek and Dr. Konrad Scheurmann 2017

Juliana Do deals with the color and its formative language of abstraction in experimental and individual exploration. Focusing is on abstraction, she lets her mind drift into the realm of patterns, colors, textures, and spaces far away from storylines that are carried by objects and scenery. Do is at rest when she can depart from reality in the depiction of imagery and merge herself with the process of creation. She says; “I can share my pictures with the world, but hardly the moment of creation I would willingly stay forever”. Do believes that abstract art is the perfect platform for exploring the nature of her consciousness, and the contemplative timeless questions of transcendence and spirituality. “I do not paint. I accompany the picture during its creation. Then I let it go”, according to the artist.
Dealing with semi-abstraction her aim is to transmit the message of our own subjective awareness and create a feel for the human body through the chosen color combinations, textures, and body shapes. Do´s a method of illustration projects the soul and the aesthetics of the human body and allows us to reflect on our own humanity. Her unique way is to combine partial figurative appearance embraced by abstract method of illustration. A gesture marked by expressiveness with a sensitive control.
