Kim Sun-Hee draws a lot of her inspiration from poets and authors such as Thomas Stearns Eliot, and Rollo May from “Man’s Search for Himself”. She quotes the hollow abstractness of human existence as well as their relationships with one another, looking to expose the true nature of modern humanity: Grogginess.
Sun-Hee believes that human relationships are often mutually beneficial connections. Further, we often conceal our broken self behind a mask in order to seek mental comfort and psychological redemption. Through her work, she hopes to connect with many of the struggles of survival in our indifferent, cruel, and heartless reality.
