I've actually always painted...
but only in the last 30 years the painting has taken more and more space in my life and today it is the biggest part of it. I had many exhibitions here in Germany, but for the last 15 years I'm only showing and selling my artwork online.
I'm a german artist with a degree in Graphic-Design. I have worked many years in the advertising and in publishing companies, meanwhile as a freelancer.
And so the painting makes me to forget the jungle out there.
My true love is the informal art.
The hardest thing in making art is to work out a distinctive pronounced style, your own characteristic handwriting, which can only be attributed to you. That's what I'm working on any time.
You can find my works in many private collections all over the world from the United States, Canada and Costa Rica to New Zealand and Australia.
What inspires you?
A great source of inspiration at the moment are old fabrics and patterns in books or brochures. But it always changes. I get a lot of ideas while going for a walk.
Describe your creative process.
In my working process I'm following the unconscious. The colors are used autonomously. I let the colors and shapes guide me. The artistic process is more important to me than a finished concept.
