Krystal Lin graduated from New York University with a Photography and Imaging Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2009. With a keen eye for colors and mixed media collages, she established a unique vision that simplifies complicated things. Her inspirations are collected from her travels, the ocean, yoga, and meditation.
"I consider myself a visual person, for I naturally perceive, communicate and remember through visual imageries. I started creating mixed medium collages back in high school, and what was originally an attempt to create something different, soon became my unique way of expression.
In 2015, my first collection Wanderlust was born. It is a compilation of my travels, layering multiple images of experiences. Art and culture say a lot about a place, hence each opportunity to explore the world is a lesson in life that I would always want to share.
Through my photographs, I would like to portray these truthful feelings through layers and layers of visions — after all, feelings are personal experiences, beliefs, and memories that are indescribable in words. Life is much more than what we see in front of us, it is a composition of multiple images that apart they may mean nothing; yet together, they can convey a much deeper meaning."
