Lee Byoung Kon was born & grew up in Daegu, South Korea. He moved to Seoul for his studies. He always thinks & reads about poverty, labor and social issues. A self-taught photographer, for 10 years he studied photography by himself. Images of local village life in India and other parts of the world had a powerful effect on him & were instrumental in his decision to become a photographer.
Up to this day, he is still travelling the world, taking photos & contributing to magazines. He is also working in commercial agency as a freelance photographer.
