What inspires you?
I'm inspired by the always changing face of big cities. Nearly everyday you can find new art works, street art spots or in my case: new posters that are sticked to walls, bus stations or lanterns. All these changes show the rushing energy of our lives, society and transience of time.
Describe your creative process.
First of all I need street posters. So I grab a huge bag, travel into a city like Berlin, Amsterdam or Cologne and stroll through the streets. When I find old posters of past events I rip those poster fragments off the wall. In my studio I create the collage, mix those fragments together... I add spray paint, marks of acrylic and use a pen to draw details. In the end I varnish the artwork for a matte effect.
What are 3 words that best describe your work?
Unconventional, loud and success driven
Who are some artists that have influenced your work?
Mimmo Rotella, Le Fauves and contemporary urban artists
What is the most important tool when creating your work?
Glue!
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
"We come on earth with nothing and leave this earth with nothing. In between: do what you love the most!"
Where do you go for inspiration?
Into our streets, hotspots with vibrant graffiti works and... Berlin!
