Ma Yinxin

Ma Yinxin was born in Shenyang, Lianing in 1981. He graduated from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 2004, and has lived and worked in Beijing and Shenyang as an artist every since.

"Right now, all of the constructions are abounding with the warm afternoon sunlight in this cold winter day, setting each other off and marking its presence as a skinny shadow on the gable wall in two or three orange oblongs, looked very much quieter. None of windows are opened to refract the light in different ways, visually breaking the quietness of the overall pattern of the complex. People inside the windows are now mostly twenty kilometers away working in the city centre of Beijing. Soon after, they will be back and switch on their lights when the night has shut in, and lighting up the night sky of this satellite city. "
