A Bangkok-based illustrator, Manisa Lekprayoon has always had a penchant for design and the creative field. She was a graphic designer before deciding she wanted to work with images more than text, and has since followed her dreams by moving to London to expand her portfolio while studying illustration and design. Being in a foreign environment and experiencing different cultures altogether has Manisa’s approach to her design career, with her working freelance on editorials, corporate identity and textiles. Concurrently, she also strives to develop a distinct personal style. Manisa’s inspiration is largely derived from her travels, the forms of vehicles, buildings and everyday objects that she pictures in a landscape suffused with surrealism. Her illustrations are based on a combination of drawing, ink and digital collage.
