Marieta Tedenacová (*1997) is a Czech-French designer who creates objects at the intersection of art and design. In her work, she combines classical craftsmanship with innovative technologies, often incorporating scientific methods rarely utilized in the realm of art. Marieta’s creations are produced in limited collections, ensuring that each piece is a unique original.
She graduated from the glass studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (AAAD) in Prague, studying under the guidance of Professor Rony Plesl. Concurrently, she pursued painting studies at the Academy of Fine Arts under the tutelage of Professor Michael Rittsten. Additionally, Marieta completed a study internship in the Glass Studio at the Rhode Island School of Design.
Her works have been showcased in exhibitions both domestically and internationally, including cities such as London, Providence, Munich, Milan, Venice, and Lommel. Her works are part of private collections across the world.
All of Marieta’s creations are meticulously handcrafted in hotshops and small workshops in North Bohemia. This region, renowned for preserving the tradition of handblown glassmaking since the Middle Ages, was recently designated as part of the UNESCO World Heritage in 2023.
