Mariia Baskal is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of science and art, transforming her mission to protect the environment into contemporary art objects.
Mariia was born in 1988 and currently resides in Rome, Italy. She began studying painting at a private art school for 4 years in St. Petersburg, and under the guidance of teacher painters she learned the basics of classical technique. Since 2020, he has continued to study in Rome.
Mariia has participated in exhibitions, biennials and art fairs in Italy and Europe; her paintings are in private collections in America, Canada, Italy and other countries.
What inspires you?
Travelling and life, science, observations of nature. Many ideas come from my life, from the past and present. I always have inspiration and many ideas for the future.

good moods, good music and the world around me

from places I visit, such as volcanic islands and craters where lakes are now.
