Artist Name

Markus Marschmann

Born: 1992

Hometown: Munich

Based in: Germany

Markus Marschmann is an emerging young glass artist from Bavaria in Germany and a current student at the Institute of Ceramic and Glass Arts of University of Applied Science Koblenz.

Marschmann sees the glass as the medium to break and hold diverse borders. His critical questioning about traditional disciplines and also views about social issues had a great impact to develop his original way to work with the material. His steady attitude to explore and go beyond the limits can show us the completely new potential of glass as a sculptural statement. The vibration of energy and concentration is clearly noticeable. He let life grow as a natural being with strong belief and respect.
