Milla Chang was born in Taiwan on 1967. 

Since very young age she reveals a natural talent for drawing, and still in primary school Milla Chang is often distinguished in the art of traditional chinese calligraphy and selected for the honours board as the best student of the school in this noble art.

On 1987 Milla Chang obtained a degree in Nutritional Sciences, activity that she only practice during the following two years to embrace a successful career as jewelry designer for more than 20 years long.

On 2010 she marry her husband, a Portuguese architect linked to the arts who definitely encourage and push up her latent talent for painting. For some years Milla research and study how to mix her background on Eastern paintings techniques with Western techniques and styles in order to create innovative paintings.
In a short period of time her artworks become easily identifiable by the peculiar representation of the vineyards where strains painted in fast and minimalist strokes cohabit side by side with leaves and bunches of grapes painted in a quasi photographic way being often referred as “the painter of the Douro vineyards".


More recently Milla Chang paintings has been present in several oficial galleries, museums and cultural centers in Portugal and Taiwan.

Living surrounded by beautiful landscapes of vines and vineyards of Douro Valley wine region definitely has driven Milla Chang to search for new and innovative ways to represent this reality. From the noble art of chinese calligraphy Milla Chang has absorbed the technique and the extraordinary control of trace that she presents in her paintings, revealing herself as an emerging art painter.
