Based in: Amsterdam, Netherlands and Bali, Indonesia
Natisa Jones is a visual artist, currently basing her studio practice in Bali, Indonesia. Jones' works explore themes of identity and poses an inquiry into the human condition through the concept of a 'process'. Via documentation and experimentation, Jones' practice has become a platform to confront her inner dialogue. An artist that often incorporates text into images, she pulls narratives from daily life in order to explore issues within identity and to reflect on ideas of the "self ". Jones also establishes a relationship between the human experience and the creative process as a parallels which inform one another. The Bachelor of Fine Arts Painting graduate from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology frequently uses mixed medias such as ink, graphite, and acrylic.
