I learned to paint from my father. My first exhibitions I had at the age of 15 in banks, dance schools or in doctors' offices.
At the age of 20 I sold my paintings already between 5 000, - and 10 000 DM
through a gallery that specialized in art for companies and enterprises.
The themes to my work series arise from events that write the daily life.
For example, in 2017 I was disturbed by how algorithms and fake news distort the representation of certain topics in social media. I turned it around and distorted social media in my works. I created digital artworks from thousands of distorted profile photos from social media and linked them to my painted web addresses.
On the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York, I organized a worldwide art project for peace. The vernissage took place on September 11, 2002 in a jumbo jet "Boeing 747" in the Technik Museum in Speyer and was broadcast 24 hours worldwide in real time via the Internet on the front Homepage of AOL.
What inspires you?
It always inspires me to go new ways, to discover things and to cross borders.
Describe your creative process.
Since my works lead a digital life on the Internet, my works usually begin with a work on canvas. I own a few hundred web addresses and am therefore free in the number of letters. When painting I let myself be guided by my feeling and therefore I often change my works daily over several weeks. The sum of all feelings that bring me to the goal then result in the theme for the digital part on the net. This can then be a digital photo, animation or video.
