Artist Name

Oksana Evteeva

Born: 1987

Hometown: Murmansk

Based in: Italy

I am a Sicilian artist.

I am the ambassador of Sicily in the art. I live in a real paradise and I want the whole world to know and love my Sicily as I love it. My paintings become little ambassadors and transform every home into a Sicilian port full of love, kindness, and sun.

My works distinguish my love for colours and the special technique of painting: combining transparent and impasto techniques with sunny impressionism elements into realistic paintings.

Last year I have participated in group exhibitions in MEAM, Spain and in a few exhibitions in Italy. In recent years I boast several International Collective Exhibitions including the 58th Venice Biennale and I took part in the exhibition with the Charity Sotheby’s Auction.

More About Oksana Evteeva

Question IconWhat inspires you?

I am absolutely in love with Sicily and I get inspiration from everything around me, from the stones of medieval paving stones to the random scenes of ordinary Sicilian life, full of an icredible fascination for me.

Question IconDescribe your creative process.

I have no problem with having inspiration, so I don't have to wait for a special work mood. I am equally fond of painting alla prima from life as I am spending hours on large canvases when I paint in the hyper-realistic style.

Question IconWhat are 3 words that best describe your work?

Sicilian. Full of love. Enchanting
