Born in Belarus in 1990, artist Olga Bezanson lives and works in Barcelona. Originally studying architecture in Lithuania, she moved to Spain in 2014 to get her master’s at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB). Inspired by a rich textile heritage of Catalonia and creative spirit of the region, Olga decided to stay in Barcelona and try her hand at fiber art. Starting with a flat tapestry, she soon moved on to volumes and fiber sculptures. Today Olga’s work is a combination of old textile practices with their new reading.
