Praveen Samarasinghe

Praveen Cecil Samarasinghe is a Sri Lankan contemporary and modern artist. A gifted artist from childhood Praveen is inspired from the beauty of nature and loves to paint landscapes as well as figures. A product of St.Peter’s college and Asoka college he has won numerous prizes for art. He studied art under the guidance of Mr. ‘Kalasuri’ Jayasiri Semage the famous Sri Lankan modern artist who shaped up his initial artistic talent.

His paintings with elegant strokes gives a meaning to canvas captivating his surroundings with a unique eye. He came in to the limelight with his exhibition held in Colombo. Ever since his arts and creations alike captivated hearts of thousands people. Praveen is a Software engineer a Graphic /UI-UX Web Front-End Developer and has dedicated his free time to actively pursue his interest in art and tries out new mediums and techniques in his quest for perfection. He is a member of Ceylon society of Arts.
