Renato paints portraits of people. Characters both real and fictional come alive on his canvas, sometimes staring at the viewers with black and hollow eyes. His delicate imagery on light canvases appears heavy for the eye of the beholder. His unique style invites us to perpetually analyze the paintings while making us observe and reflect on our own biases, judgments, and feelings during endless loops of self-reflection.
