After primary education, my inclination started moving towards visual arts, I am from a small town in Rajasthan, there was not much knowledge in my family about further studies in the subject of visual arts. But seeing my inclination towards art, everyone supported me and I went to Banasthali in Rajasthan for my further studies. I completed my graduation and post graduation in mural painting. My topics mostly revolve around mothers and child, pregnancy, abortion and women's rights.
We don't have any works from this artist at the moment.

More About Ritu Sinha
What inspires you?
I think life inspires and I believe my life is the biggest influencer of my art career.
Describe your creative process.
My work involves mixed media, including paint, fiber, and found soft materials in my surreal paintings. Depiction of the female body, especially pregnant women's bodies, transcends the boundaries of Expressionism and Surrealism. I often use Fabric patterns on detailed finished paintings to give a sense of recreation or a sense of giving birth to new life. I focus on contemporary issues in my mixed media, multi-panel works on paper. For me art is to tell stories, my own, and the stories of millions of other people, especially women and children.
Who are some artists that have influenced your work?
I am influenced by Edvard Munch, Louise Bourgeois, and Tracey Emin. My art is influenced by expressionism, Abstract expressionism, Surrealism and Feminist art.
