Sisui Akiba

Born 1984 in Chiba, Japan. Entered Wako University Department of Art in 2003 and studied mainly oil painting. In 2005 took part in the group exhibition "STRIPE" held within the university. It was around this time she begun to use a figure standing in a tranquil background as a motif.

On year later, she held the private exhibition "STRIPE -second week-".
At her graduation exhibition, she exhibited "scene 1". After graduating university in 2007, she held the private exhibition "sokokara (from there)" at gallery Futaba, Ginza, Tokyo.
