Susanna Klein is a contemporary artist who often explores nature, time, and transience in her work. She employs various techniques in the field of painting, often drawing inspiration from nature and its seasonal changes. Her personal memories organically flow into her artwork. Her pieces oscillate between abstraction and the inclusion of figurative elements.
Her focus lies in nature motifs and emotional abstract landscapes. A recurring theme in Klein's art is the emphasis on the interplay between humans and nature, as well as the changes that occur over time. She frequently uses natural materials such as plants, flowers, sunlight, and weather influences in her pieces to explore the processes of change and transience."

Describe your creative process.
The beginning of the search process often starts with photographs, sketches and objects from nature and my immediate surroundings, my private environment such as an old box with photographs from the archive of my grandfather, who was a photographer himself, or basic forms like leaves of a chestnut tree. In the implementation, I like to play with various processes and techniques from the history of art and painting, I use traditional oil painting as well as almost forgotten old photographic techniques such as cyanotype
