I have always been interested in the deeper layers, the world behind things, the world that takes place behind the scenes, and in them one can hope for answers, perhaps explanations.
One of my main topics is our human relationships, our behavior and their causes.
In my works, the reduced mode of communication can usually be observed. Minimalistic aspirations are combined with constantly experimental methods, often with humor and irony.
In my abstract works, an important aspect is to let the material work as well, thus creating the joint result of intentionality and randomness.
I want to show the surface and the depth at the same time. A 'personality' that looks beautiful from afar, but shows a deeper, more grooved world up close, and thus enriches its beauty, cast in the form of pictures.
In my installations, I like to invite the audience to play together, where I give them the task of becoming a part of my work, which is often characterized by fictitious combinations of the past and the present, endowed with human qualities.
During the "gray" weekdays, I work as a mask master in the world of theater and film, drawing so much inspiration from there.
"Art allows us to find and lose ourselves at the same time." /Thomas Merton/
What inspires you?
life, human themes, situations, lights, stage, the functioning of the soul
Describe your creative process.
I have lots of ideas every day. I have recurring ideas that I write down. The idea that keeps coming back to me, despite writing it down, is what I need to do. Sometimes I plan it, but sometimes I start painting right away and then let it rest for a long time before finishing. If I have to build my work around a theme, I like topics I've never worked with before because they really stimulate creative thinking.
What are 3 words that best describe your work?
experimental, reflective of the world (environment), sensitive
Who are some artists that have influenced your work?
Ignác Kokas, Richard Rak, József Pinczés,
What is the most important tool when creating your work?
brushes in different sizes, scraper, materials with different textures (even recycled materials),
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
"You do what you want!" :-)
Where do you go for inspiration?
I spend a lot of time backstage and on stage in the world of theater and contemporary circus, but I am inspired by the lights and shadows in the city and in nature.
