Tadhg Caffrey is an Irish print-based artist and researcher. Currently based in London, his work is primarily through photography and screenprinting, with a focus on city life. Caffrey's work explores how the process of printing changes how we view cities, and how citizens can use printmaking to become the architects and urban planners of their neighbourhoods.
Caffrey has worked on series relating to city infrastructure including how electricity pylons, petrol stations and tower cranes connect us to urban environments. A recurring theme in Caffrey's work is tracing capitalism in cities, with works focusing on disappearing businesses in London high streets and gentrification. His works have been shown in various exhibitions in the UK and Ireland.

Describe your creative process.
I use art as an interrogative process, working predominantly in screen printing, based on photography. All works are handmade.
