Question Icon What inspires you?

It’s hard to articulate! I am fascinated by rocks and minerals, space exploration, pop culture including music, film, television, visionaries, actors, comedians, characters, tropes, current events, the best and worst parts of New York City., but as I see it

Question Icon Describe your creative process.

I have a sense of what I want to create. I "shape" my vision drawing on negative space, closer to sculpting rather than painting. It's not just about creativity and color, chemistry and fluid dynamics are necessary for my process. I utilize found, upcycled, or recycled materials as much as possible.

Question Icon What is the best piece of advice you have been given?

Be honest, be myself. A lot of artist's statements are strikingly similar, and utilize jargon to the point of being meaningless. My art is sincere, it's me. Embracing not fitting the mold.
