Artist Statement on the 'Oasis' series:
"People wish to find an answer themselves and comfort when they get lost and sad. The desert is beautiful because somewhere we may find a well. This is like the nomads finding an oasis in desert in their life.
The sea, deserts and pillars are the common elements in my drawings. The sea could help people heal but at the same time it brings us unpredictable fear. People are scared because of the fear of an unknown future, and they do not want to touch it. The sea is like the uncertainty in our heart, we do not want to approach it.
This series started when I was lost and upset, I hoped to find my comfort through my heart. From time to time, I found the images inside me and I tried to depict those images in my drawings. I see myself hiding in some protected places, just like what you would see from my drawings."
We don't have any works from this artist at the moment.
