Wu Jinshi, born in 1940, is the director of Wu Jinshi Paintings Gallery. In 2006, he was engaged as honourable director professor and artist of Grade I of China Calligaraphy and Painting Institute. He also won outstanding prize of “Chinese Art Exhibition of the World”which was organized by People's Pictorial , China Calligraphy & Painting Culture Ministry and China Well-known Artists Centre. He was named as “Chinese Great Artist of the World”. In 2009, he was selected as life honourable Chairman of “China Contemporary Art Association”and “Year Person of Chinese Art in 2008” organized by China Art Federation.
Since 1976, he has held more than 20 exhibitions both in China and abroad. Many domestic and foreign media reported him and his works: his introduction and works were listed into “Annals of World Famous Persons”, “300 Examples of Chinese No.1 in the World”, “Brief Biography of Famous Persons of Contemporary World(Volumn I)” and “Record of World Famous Persons”. Culture Ministry of P.R. China shot a biographic film for him in nine languages. This film led to great reflection and acclaim both in China and abroad. He and his paintings are becoming a news focus in the world.
