Yenny Yohan is an abstract artist who takes on her everyday mood and emotion as the most influencing things in her expression on canvases. The smell of fresh brewed coffee, the aromatic and flavorful of red wines and listening to musics are often being great companies in helping her to create a good mood. Being such a figure, she loves to travel regularly, especially to the island of Bali, in where it not only hypnotised her with its beauty, but also plays a big role in her life as a great source of inspirations.
Born in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, in 1973, Yenny Yohan has developed a great interest in arts since she was a child by always sketching, drawing, and making some kind of craft projects. Though she excelled in her art classes as a child, she never had any intention of becoming an artist. Her desire to express her artistic experience rose after she married to an architect, which somehow creatively led her to painting. Being untrained as an artist, she enjoys painting freely without any restrictions. She paints directly on canvas, using acrylic and mixed media as the most suitable mediums for her. Each painting was created as an abstract, a celebration of colour that represents a reflection of her emotion at that moment.
She currently lives in Bandung and has been painting professionally for years. Her artworks have been exhibited and sold through galleries, to private and corporate collections.
