Photographer based in Kyoto, Japan, Yuki Yamazaki explores the current and past living through the lens of aerial view. The perspective of present is disturbed yet blended harmoniously with layers of texture. With the question of “How can oblivion be resisted through visual imagery alone?” Yamazaki continues to search and redefine how the use of visual language, a photographic image, is translated in our everyday living that is in continuation of the past.
Yamazaki's works have been shown in internationally acclaimed fairs, including New City Art Fair, Special Exhibition with Kyotographie KG, fotofever and Athen Photo Festival; and published in Estein Studio as well as Fisheye Magazine, participating in various art book fairs that include New York Art Book Fair at MOMA PS1, LA Art Book Fair, Tokyo Art Book Fair and Stokholm Art Book Fair.
