Artist statement
Abi Castillo is a multidisciplinary artist.
The characters she creates talk about stories she has lived and about her emotions. In short, they are an alter ego in which she pours all her feelings. She feels the need to give life to objects, always looking for eyes to look at, that's why faces are very important in her work. Mysticism and drama, the monstrous and the beautiful, are always present in his work.
This collection reflects the intense and deep love in which she finds herself right now, as she has recently become a mother.
