Painted as part of the 'Manoeuvred Matter' series - An early painting during this body of work.
The image is a large scale piece and filled with expressive marks. During this time Myers was interested in being as physical as possible in the approach to creating the paintings in order to create the boldest images. Myers used the figure as a starting point throughout this time, so there are remnants or elements of human forms peering through the colours and gestures. Myers considers the painting to be on the cusp of figurative.
